1. Who we are

Empathy Insurance Advisors is a trade name of Empathy Healthcare Solutions Inc. Insurance products are offered by Alexander James, a licensed independent insurance agent (NPN 19291077), and licensed insurance agents on staff. Empathy Healthcare Solutions Inc. is not a licensed insurance agency.

We are a licensed independent insurance agent, not an insurance company. We follow the privacy rules that apply to licensed insurance agents in the states where we are licensed.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us: your name, phone number, email address (if you add one), ZIP code, date of birth, household size, household income range (to check subsidy eligibility), and anything else you choose to share when you talk with a licensed agent.

Information collected automatically: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the pages you visit on this site, the referring page, and the date and time of your visit.

Anonymous visit measurement: when you first visit, we create a random session identifier that stays in your browser for that browsing session. It is not derived from anything about you or your device. If you start our form, we record how far you got (for example, that a visitor reached the third question). We do not record your answers as part of this measurement. Nothing you type into the form is sent to us until you submit it.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

• with insurance companies, when you authorize us to submit an application or request for you;
• with service providers that help us run our business (for example call routing, secure storage, customer management and messaging), who may use it only as we direct;
• when the law, a regulator, a subpoena or a court order requires it;
• in a merger, acquisition or sale of our business, under this policy.

5. Calls and text messages

We call or text you only with your consent, as described next to the button on our form. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text, by telling us on a call, or by calling us at the number below. Message and data rates may apply.

6. Email

Our marketing emails identify us, include our mailing address and have an unsubscribe option, which we honor promptly. Service emails about your coverage may continue after you unsubscribe from marketing emails.

7. Cookies and online measurement

This site uses cookies and similar tools to keep it working, to measure how it is used (Google Tag Manager and analytics), and to measure our advertising (for example, conversion measurement for our ads on Facebook and Instagram). Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, get a copy of it, correct it, ask us to delete it (subject to legal exceptions) and opt out of its use for targeted advertising, without being treated differently for using these rights. 9. How long we keep information

We keep personal information as long as we need it to serve you and to meet legal and record-keeping requirements for insurance agents (often three to seven years after our relationship ends). After that we delete it or remove what identifies you.

10. Security

This site uses a secure (SSL) connection. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, and we will notify you and regulators of a security incident where the law requires it.

11. Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. A parent or guardian may give us information about dependents as part of a household application.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
